The exclusion fence will allow wildlife to leave
the site, but not re-enter, thus gradually clearing the site of
wildlife, before building work commences.
This ensures that little or no wildlife will be abruptly harmed
or displaced when ground works start.
On the Right is Phil Bolton. We had the benefit
of his expertise, to observe every move the
digger made, making sure no wildlife was
under threat and no rare species were present.
This large Oak tree is some
200 years old, and was
originally planted as a boundary
marker. We hope the tree will
provide sanctuary for wildlife for
another 200 years.
Here you can see what remains of
the old farm buildings.
Last week (15th and 16th February) we had a
digger and Phil Bolton of Wildthing wildlife
consultants. This made it possible to dig the
trench for the Exclusion Fence to follow.
